The Wytches, out of Brighton, are purveyors of a demented brand of surf rock that has thoroughly dug its hooks in me. Their debut album, Annabel Dream Reader[via Heavenly], will collect all those and more into one tight package. Along with that, I’m eagerly awaiting the actualization of that listening with a couple of headlining gigs happening here next week. Based on the abrasive energy of the music, I’ve got very good feelings about how it will translate live. The Wytches will play Mercury Lounge on the 24th and Glasslands on the 25th.
