One of the acts I’ve been listening to most fervently the past year is an NYC based duo by the name of Bob Moses. The pair, Tom Howie & Jimmy Vallance, output soulful, at times even haunting, cuts of chilled out dance music. Its sound is not at all unlike the sort of ambience Darkside was cultivating the past few years to great fame. The duo is expanding their discography (all collected so far into an album, All in All) with a single, “Talk,” that caught my ear today. All their material is out via Domino.
Those eager to see the transition from studio to dance floor can catch them at Output on the 31st of July [sold out] or MOMA PS1 on August 1, depending on if you rave night or day.
