One Week Left in Not Blood Paint’s Kickstarter, Next Show Announced at LPR, Win Tix

Our darlings, Not Blood Paint, need your help. We’ve covered them multiple times, lauding their sense of artistic community and theatrical snarl. The independent collective are at work on their most ambitious record yet, Believing is Believing, and turned to crowdfunding to bankroll it. As of this writing, they have hit their initial $8k target with a week left, but there is a further goal on their quest I want to help them hit.

This particularly important threshold is at $12k, which they consider their breakeven point, and for all of us diehard fans, a goal we ardently want to hit. Not Blood Paint have promised a live show of epic proportions, free for all backers, should they reach that mark. If you live here in NYC, that means you can essentially write off your funding amount as a ticket price, and in return, get to witness them performing at a unique point of comfort and finesse filled with the most engaged audience possible. To me, that sounds like concert nirvana and something I want to be a part of. Will getting that last bit of dosh be equivalent to drawing blood from a stone?

In other concert news, Not Blood Paint have just been booked at Manhattan’s Le Poisson Rouge on 1/11 as part of its On The Rise series! Seeing the band in the red drenched venue should be an appealing prospect, who knows what mischief will occur. Sharing the bill will be Howth, A Deer A Horse, and Language. A cursory listen to each reveals a commonality in mutating fierce rock to their own ends. No doubts it will be an excellent opportunity to sate your bloodlust.
