If you’re in search of delectable synth pop to close out the week, look no further than the latest track from Chicago’s My Gold Mask. I’m always down for some crushing dark wave-influenced material, and”Explode” drops deep pulsating beats contrasted by super heavy, catchy synth hooks. Couple Gretta Rochelle and Jack Armondo have been collaborating on this project since 2009, and this new tune is a sign that things are musically becoming more dynamic for them. We anticipate that they’ll be following up on 2013’s much lighter release, Leave Me At Midnight.

Currently closing out a leg of their tour with The Hood Internet, My Gold Mask will make a stop in Brooklyn when they play a free show at The Knitting Factory with Glass Lux on November 7.
