Neat Beet has covered several multi-day music festivals this summer but nothing prepared us for the one day whirlwind extravaganza that is Warped Tour. It’s a rare feat that transports dozens of bands and graces almost every continental state in the country, doing so for close to 20 years. The festival is this writer’s first music festival “experience” – equipped with everything a “miniature, temporary tent city” would have: a multi-stage circuit, a hectic schedule (adorned on an inflatable board) and crowds of people unmoved by the stifling heat.
This year’s festival graced Long Island at the Jones Beach Theater. The beach-front setting and the stadium provided eloquent settings for the Metro New York stop of the tour. Below are photos are some of the action from our favorite acts.
