Based out of Baltimore, producer/composer Dan Deacon has put on his fair share of electro-charged, crazed shows in the past. Next week, coming off some tour dates opening for Arcade Fire, he’ll be bringing the party to The Space in Hamden, CT for a very intimate performance. Seeing him at The Space will probably be the best opportunity any CT concertgoer will ever have to get up close and personal with Deacon’s quality showmanship. We’re still awaiting a follow-up full length to his 2012 release, America, but he’s doing just fine by keeping us occupied with out of control dance parties in the meantime.
The show date is set for Thursday, August 21 and local supporting acts Fake Babies and Furnsss will serve as the openers.

I really have to stress that Dan Deacon is at his best headlining smaller locations like this with enthusiast fans. He does a lot of cool shit with those types of audiences, organizing them into funky dances that you probably will only see in a limited capacity with his opening slot for Arcade Fire. Come ready to bust-a-move!
