Lindsey Stirling (born in September, 21, 1986 in Santa Ana, California, United States) is a violinist, dancer and composer based in Utah. A former member of the rock band Stomp on Melvin, Stirling began releasing videos on Youtube in 2007 and in 2010 competed on “America’s Got Talent”. Her appearance on “America’s Got Talent” gained the attention of cinematographer Devin Graham, with whom she has collaborated on several videos since 2010. Her YouTube channel has become extremely popular and has received upwards of 100 million views.

Kaiser Chiefs are a band which formed in Leeds, West Yorkshire, England in early 2003. The band consists of Ricky Wilson (vocals), Andrew “Whitey” White (guitar), Simon Rix (bass), Nick “Peanut” Baines (keyboards) and Vijay Mistry(drums). Nick Hodgson is the band’s former drummer and main songwriter but left the band in December 2012 to focus on other projects. The band has released five albums as of 2014 and have released 16 singles, including the hits I Predict a Riot, Oh My God, Ruby and Never Miss a Beat.

Lalah Hathaway, Ruben Studdard @ State Theater – 8:00 PMsoul

Lalah Hathaway is a contemporary R&B/Jazz singer and the daughter of soul legend Donny Hathaway. After studying at Berklee, Hathaway signed with Virgin Records and released her self titled debut, Lalah Hathaway, in 1990. The set spawned 4 R&B Hits, including the Top 5 smash Heaven Knows. Her 1994 follow up, A Moment, did less well, and Hathaway parted ways with Virgin. She went on to work with many other established artists, including Take 6, Mary J. Blige and Marcus Miller, writing, producing and doing background vocals.

Ought has been burning with a strong and steady flame since flickering to life in Montreal in 2012. Holed up in a shared apartment that doubled as their rehearsal space, the four band members self-recorded a first EP then busted out into the city’s loft circuit, and into the city streets during the Printemps d’Erable Quebec student general strike, in the spring of 2012. Guitarist/vocalist Tim Beeler, who previously had been writing poetry and folk music, drew new energy from electrification/amplification and from solidarity/protest alike.
