Long running psych wizards Dead Meadow are swinging through the northeast this week for shows all over the area. Last year’s Warble Womb, their sixth lp, marked fifteen years for the group and fits a particularly chill brand of the genre. It clocks in well over an hour, and makes for quite a smooth journey. Check out “1000 Dreams” for a glimpse of their aura.

I’m still debating which night to attend here in NYC; each features different openers. On Tuesday, we have The Black Cadillacs, Tennesseans who veer towards blues rock, versus local psych outfit VietNam on Friday. VietNam has been kicking it in various iterations over the past ten years, and seem the more mysterious choice.
